never. As you and I know, true Witches and pagans are generally peaceful. Most atheists I know are peaceful. Most mind their own business, and I never hear of pagans or atheists who were in their right minds commit crimes for religious reasons. The same can't be said for religious people. Just a few days ago in Oakland, where I live, a young black man was shot dead by a Muslim man who was angry for religious stuff.
Killings for religious reasons seem to be out there a lot lately.

This one is for Solly, it didn't say anything on WHY he killed them, it just said premeditated murder and that he was "pagan to the core." SO what? Maybe his beliefs had nothing to do with it? Maybe it did, all I know is that article seemed more interested with him being a gay pagan than him murdering anyone. But to answer the original question, there are a lot of crimes that may have been committed by some atheists/pagans, but none that I could tell for their beliefs, (unlike most religions)

Personally, never. A pagan might do such a thing, but an atheist would never commit a crime for religious reasons, because he has no religion.

When was the last time I saw one for anything? They always go bother the Pagans around Halloween, but that's about it.
Anyone else notice how many church things are on TV on Sunday mornings these days? Didn't Bill Nye the Science Guy used to be on then?
*sigh*

I doubt pagan or atheists are any more likely to commit crime. There's no evidence that being more christian makes one less likley to commit crime. We have the highest belief in God of any industrialized nation but have the highest crime rate. Most of the highest crime states tend to be in the "red" states of the south (the bible belt)!

A few days ago I heard of smo gothic pagans digging up a grave and having..."relations" with the corpse. They were released without charges as the State had no law covering necrophelia. I though it went without saying too. It is an immoral sexual act. A crime against humanity and simply disrespectful of life and family.

Pagans have been driven underground to a certain extent already, plus we are too smart to get caught and deal with energies most people do not know exist or how to manipulate so they are none the wiser.

now, this is just a guess, mind you...but most of the time, the religion of a suspected criminal is rarely ever mentioned unless it has some bearing on the actual crime committed...they also don't report shoe size or righ-or-left-handedness, either...is this the best you've got?

I'd say it's because the average pagan or atheist doesn't believe they have to force their ideals on someone else. I know from a pagan point of view 'this is my life's path, but it may not be theirs' I can't say for sure in the case of atheists.

Atheists are the people who have the strongest sense of ethics. They are a minority that is unfairly discriminated against by the mainstream hypocrites who say they believe in god whether they do or not because they don't have the guts to shock theists who are very intolerant and unforgiving despite what their religion tells them. Since religion is the root of most evil, and Atheists have none, they do not commit crimes that can be traced back to religious dogmas
