Arkansas couple welcomes 17th child

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - It's a girl — again — for the Duggars. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar welcomed their 17th child, and seventh daughter, into the world Thursday.

Jennifer Danielle was born at 10:01 a.m. at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rogers, Ark., the Duggars said in an interview. Jennifer weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces and arrived five days after Michelle's due date.

Less than 30 minutes after giving birth, the Duggars already were talking of having more.

"We'd love to have more," Michelle said, adding that the girls are outnumbered seven to 10 in the family. "We love the ruffles and lace."

Jennifer joins the fast-growing Duggar brood, who live in Tontitown in a 7,000-square-foot home. All the children — whose names start with the letter J — are home-schooled.

The oldest is 19 and the youngest, before Jennifer, is almost 2 years old.

OMG YES! When I read that storry, all I could think was "What are those people thinking?" but then it occurred to me that they're doing all their thinking with their genitalia!

However, I have a friend that came from a family of 12 and he never had any kids. Said he did enough diaper changing as a kid that he never wanted to have kids of his own. He and his wife have been married almost 30 years and never had kids. So maybe the Duggars won't be taking over the state in a generation or two.

But, definitely, someone needs to neuter those two!

While I am glad to see you are literate enough to read, copy and paste, perhaps you should do some research before you judge them???

1. They are self supporting- they have no debt. I would think many Americans would want to learn their tricks.
2. They homeschool- which by itself is a lesson in patience.
3. They have a strong faith in God.
4. They have good kids and love their children very much.
5. Much quality time- another thing most Americans lack with their families.
6. THey built their own home using very little outside help.

We have all seen this- it is all over The Net and was on the news...get over it.

Do your research before you judge. What happens in someone else's home is not for anyone else to judge. Likewise, what works for someone else may not work for you and this is fine too. A little tolerance goes a long, long way!

EVERY baby born is a gift to this world.

It's the WORLD that has a problem with the gift, not the parents.

The Duggars are not on welfare, have their own family business, built their own house and school their own kids.

Their children are growing up as healthy, well-adjusted, educated and productive young people.

This world would be a better place if MORE parents took their family responsibilities so seriously.

I think most people who have kids are selfish pigs. This, however, illustrates the depths of irresponsibility to the environment and to the people already here, esp. when the earth is bursting at the seams with people and getting worse every day. You already can't move a toe without running into people, people, and more people. Even if half of the world's population didn't have kids, there'd be people enough. Especially with Michelle Duggar's clowncar of a uterus working overtime. These breeders are oblivious to the quality of life for every one around them. The Chinese have a saying: "One more baby equals one more tomb." All breeders should realize the impact that one more baby has on the planet. The Duggars abandoned all rational scruples in favor of "the ruffles and lace." Great reason to get preggo again.
Which goes to show that people breed primarily for selfish reasons rather that what's best for the kids they bring into this life.

I would rather they have 17 kids than some of these deadbeat parents out there having one kid and not taking care of them, especially the ones who continue to have kids and milk the system for all it's worth

3 is enough for our family. Better her vagina than mine.
As Jenny McCarthy said....sex is probably like "throwing a hotdog down a hallway" with her.

I think it is ridiculous. You're fertile; ok, got it. Think it becomes an addiction.
