Amen and Amen. Most Christians know so little of God, but some of their own doctrinal teachings of their particular denomination, that they can't tell you what God's mission is in the Earth. God isn't "mysterious" to His children and those who KNOW Him..., He is certainly mysterious to the world of unbelievers! There is NO wisdom outside of God. True believers and followers of God can only have FAITH by understanding God's ways of behavior or there is no faith. Faith is based on knowing what God has said and expecting it to come to pass..., thus the supernatural peace and trust. All God's promises are "yes" and "so-be-it". God cannot lie. God has a plan for all of us (when we choose to accept it), to give us hope and a future, to prosper us and to keep us from harm.
When we don't know God or His ways very well or how to live by faith, of course there are very many inconsistencies and God (and life) seems mysterious.

Yes it would seem so. He may work mysteriously, but the result of His works are obvious and right here for all to see and that is no mystery. I say it with humor in relation to observing irony.

Well I don't think it's trying to cover up the fact that we don't know...just explaining that sometimes we don't understand but when you put it in His hands it will all work out.

"God Works in Mysterious Ways" is not an excuse for me, it is my source of hope, reminding me that God is so powerful beyond our human understanding.

Not really, I think many Christians may be asking God for things that may not be pleasing to him. We should always pray that things be done which is to God's glory.

No, it is easier to pretend that god is the only answer to all questions. The best solution to hearing such a trite answer is just to quit asking them questions.

What they mean is "God works in imaginary ways."
That's cause the god that's doing all that stuff is imaginary.
Meanwhile, church folks are getting up and going to church every damn Sunday, and praising Jesus til they're blue in the face.
