Part of the registration goes to highway maintenance. There are various other things that get money from the payment also. I wish my State had inspections. every time I follow a vehicle that looks more like a mosquito fogger than a passenger vehicle I get upset. Some people could save money also. A $10 inspection verses a $25 fine for a burnt out headlight. You can't compare motorcycles to ATV's because one is for on-road and one for off-road. I can't see a way to go even 55 MPH, safely, on a trail. Look how many kids are getting killed yearly on ATV's because they go top speed without knowing what the terrain ahead of them is.

I agree. You should only have to pay for registration if you plan on using the roads for the next year. I think it you just park it you shouldn't have to register it. Oh, wait, it's already that way, isn't it?

The states that do have an effective inspection system in place are rewarded with fewer accident during the year. If not for inspections, a lot of people would be driving cars with no brakes and bald tires putting out blue smoke.

I dont bear in suggestions the merely proper time a motor vehicle reason tension grew to become killed after being hit via making use of a dashing bike proprietor, or a wall demolished after somebody took a bend too immediately on their MTB. Dont even bear in suggestions the merely proper time a bike proprietor burned out a velocity digital digicam once you have snapped for doing 60 in a 30, with the point to declare they reason as plenty harm is slightly daft. additionally my bike doesnt weigh 0.5 a ton so the wear and tear and tear to the line isn't comparable. If motor vehicle drivers have been slightly extra beneficial considerate and slightly much less susceptible to maintain their perfect foot flat to the floor then accident claims could bypass down
