they were chasing a carjacked vehicle when it struck me at about 100mph down a small resd street. they did not bother to come to my truck wright away they chased the suspect . at least 5 to 10 minutes went by and then they came over to check on me

That's right, they wanted to make sure that they caught the person who hit you before they broke away from the chase to check on you.
They radioed in your location and advised that the suspect hit you, and probably asked for someone to go back and check.

It isn't that they didn't care about you, they wanted to catch the person who did it.

1.the first thing is the fugitive might have been armed and has to be handcuffed so that not else gets hurt. 2. if you were hit and the car was going a hundred miles an hour depending on how you were hit you are dead. so why worry. 3. you probably got out of the car (natural thing to do) and did not show signs of injury that were life threatening..
4.after an accident time seems to speed up it was probably less than two minutes before help arrive (just seemed like a long time)

They are horrible and should be stopped. Imagine having your family wiped out by an idiot who stole some hubcaps and was being chased by police, that family died over a pair of hub caps.....hopefully they will be band in ca.and everywhere else.

get a copy of the police report for your insurance company then sue the suspect
