It may depend on the frequency of use at the time but it also will depend on the individual department policy. I know that 4 to 7 years back has been sufficient for various agencies in Utah. Another thing.......Don't lie about it.

Well from what Ive read it doesnt stop the one's who are already in law enforcement. It takes up to a year for T.H.C. to be completely out of your brain.

If you quit long enough ago to have no traces in your system , AND if you can keep your mouth shut long enough to say NO with conviction when they give you a lie detector test I would say you are in like Flinn .

It's really going to depend on your agency as they each have their own criteria. My best advice to you is make no mention of your previous drug use unless asked. Basically, don't volunteer the information but don't lie about it either.
