I need suggestions on a good haircut for me?

I have thick shoulder length hair and two layers. My bangs are getting pretty long. I was thinking of getting more layers and about an inch offf in the length. Tell me what you think... is that a goos idea or what do you think i should do?

mine is thicker and just below my shoulders...
i just got my do done...
side bangs starting just below my eyebrows and angled to just about my nose...
lots of layers put in, i had her do choppier layers instead of very blended... more movement.
she lightened/thinned my hair out too... ahh no heavy hot hair in the summer
i got about an inch maybe a tad more taken off.. just my dead ends
it looks great and can be pulled up in to other styles easliy
