That is funny, and I sense your tongue is firmly planted in your cheek, but there is also some truth in there I think.
I grew up in the Bible Belt (Nashville, TN) and know exactly what you mean. My experience there was with Christians struggling with four sins = gluttony, greed, gossip; and the deadliest one of all, pride.

People in the Bible Belt tend to use their "beliefs" to pick on others rather than police themselves.
That said, the dietary guides are from the Old Testament, which most Christians believe don't apply today.
