you may have seen my other question about my ex coming to the airport to see me off. He would actually have to drive for an hour and a half to see me off, he has said that he will see me there tonight, before i fly to uk. Why is he bothering now?(we split up 3 months ago).

we were seeing each each other for 18 months and he broke it off cos he met someone else, we have made constant attempts to meet up but its always been a case of bad timimg for both of us

It could be for a number of reasons. He might be trying to be polite, you were together for a while so he can't just let you go without saying goodbye.
But more importantly here, you said on your other question that you split up with him, so I assume it was your choice to end it, not his, yet you asked two questions about about him, and you can tell that what you want to hear is that he still cares about you. So why are you coming back to the UK? You obviously still have feelings for him, so why not do something about it?
You might think its too late now, but once you are out of his life and living in the uk it will be a lot worse.
If you still have feelings for him don't let your pride get in the way, you'll end up regreting it.
Edit: If he broke up with you cos he met someone else then he might want to see you because he feels like its his fault that you are going...

Jusy cause you break up with someone doesn't always mean you don't still care about the otherperson - to the point where you still can be friends. Him knowing that you were going to the UK might have put the presure to cause the breakup in the first place. He may never see you again - at least he can cay goodbye to to for the last time - whats wrong with that - you have a heart right - do the right thing and say goodbye!

First off time and space and only perceptable to the human heart. Saying this, it doesn't matter how long you have been apart, if in his heart he still cares about you, thats the way he feels. He is showing you that he will do just about anything for you. This is a typical guy behavior to get the girl they love. My suggestion is give him a chance, and see what happens. Maybe your time away has been good for both of you and changed you for the better. Maybe it will work out. But theres always the chance that maybe it wont.

So you split up. Does that mean that he shouldn't look at you as a friend any longer? Friends are like that. Maybe he is thinking that it will be some time before he see's you again, so he would like this time to say good-bye the right way? Don't let it bother you. After all, once your on the plane you won't have to worry about it.

did you remain friends after the split? it could be many things. hes doing it out of friendship. he still cares for you. and he wants to have a safe trip there and back. and if youre leaving forever, he might just want to say one last goodbye and a thanks for the love, the memories, the fun times, and all that. you were a part of his life, and its always hard to say goodbye forever.
or hes hoping that you start missing him while youre away, and you get back together when/if you return. if hes trying to win you back, he probably wouldnt want you dating a european fellow. we men know how quickly the ladies fall for the accent..

maybe he still has a torch for you! just to give him memories of what he once had! are you coming here for a long time? maybe he dont want to let go on the other hand he could just be checking that you are actually going and not just giving a lame excuse to get him out of your life!

May he cares about you and he hasn't let you go as of yet . If this does bother you just let him know next time it won't necessary . It all depends all long you have been dating and how you have ended the relationship .

Maybe his other girl friend dump him. and like most guy there run back to the other. make sure you stay away from him, later he will do the same thing.
