That passage is a prophetic passage where God will restore the earth to how it was before the fall. There will be no more death and animals will once again only eat plants and not other animals.

Genesis 1:30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so.

Isaiah 11:6 The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. 7 The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. 9 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

This will happen after Jesus the "root of Jesse" who was the father of King David returns to rule the earth.

Isaiah 11:10 In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples--of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious. 11 In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea. 12 He will raise a signal for the nations and will assemble the banished of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. 13 The jealousy of Ephraim shall depart, and those who harass Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not be jealous of Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.

The Bible says: Isa 11:6 ¶ The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. The song "Peace in The Valley" has that quote: Well the bear will be gentle And the wolf will be tame And the lion shall lay down, down by the lamb, oh yes And the beasts from the wild Shall be led by a child And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes

It's a mix of Biblical metaphors. The Lion/Lamb image actually comes from the fact that Christ is both. He's called the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and the Lamb of God. The often misquoted verses from Isaiah actually say the WOLF will lie down with the lamb. The picture painted there means that, unlike in this life, in the next one the lamb would be in no danger.

Isaiah 11:6
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

Isaiah 65:25
The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD.

Use are all wrong... It means when the chakras from the heart to crown are open in the human body there will be ever lasting peace. The heart chakra is rulled by star sign Leo, and the crown chakra is ruled by the star sign aries (ram or lamb). So when the majority of people on the planet have raised the kundalini, or have reached Christ consciousness then the world will be set free. Do your homework on gnostics and esoterics the real meanings of religions. ....peace ;)

It means all will be peaceful. There will be no wild animals. The lion will no longer rip the lamb to pieces. He will lay down beside him in perfect peacefulness.

Do you know what is lion?
Do you know what is lamb?
Do you know that the lion is inclined to eat the lamb?

The lion is considered a bad animal and if it will be with and lay with the lamb, what will happen? surely the lamb will be eaten by the lion,OK?

Lion represents the evil spirit and the lamb represent the good spirit and if they will be together, the bad spirit may enticed the good spirit to go with him to darkness, to the wrong path, so the good spirit of a man should not be in the company of the evil spirited man.
