Mrs. Dugger just had her 17th child and is looking forward to having more.

I personally think she is sainted woman for having all those children and if she wants to have more. I think that is great.

All the children are home schooled, All the children help out with their brothers and sister. I think the father did or does something in real estate. I know he did something in congress, like he was a congressman at one time.

they all helped built the house they are living in. I also think they paid cash for it too.

All the children have the first name that starts with a J.

I think this is a wonderful family and the more the better.

I totally agree with you. Something that alot of people on here are not getting is that this family is extremely religious. I actually believe the same way that they do in regards to having children. They believe that every child they have is a blessing from God and they don't feel that it is their place to decide how many children God wants to bless them with. That is why the mom doesn't use any form of birth control. I also don't believe in using birth control, however God has chosen to only bless me with 2 children. Perhaps he knows that she can handle that many and I couldn't.

It has amazed me to read all the questions and answers on here over the last few days about this family, and to see how many people just want to put down and critisize them. Some people are more concerned with the fact that this Christian family had 17 kids, and isn't on welfare, food stamps, WIC, or public housing, yet you hardly ever see anyone on here complaining about the teenagers, high school drop outs, and women who already have 3 kids, who are already on welfare, food stamps, WIC, and in public housing, who continue to keep having more and more kids.

Some guy commented to me on here that it is his business because they are eating up the resourses on our planet that he and his kids have to live on. IS HE SERIOUS?!?! And those women who have 4-5 kids and who are on every type of public assistance available arn't? Whether it was this family or 17 teenagers who get pregnant with unwanted babies, children are going to continue to be born in the country. I would rather see them born into a family like that, than to some teenager who is going to be in the welfare line every month. That is what is using up our resources, not this wonderful family.

I don't have a problem with them having so many kids and we could all learn alot from them and their values. But I don't think she is a saint! They have just made a decision and don't want to take birth control. but when are they going to stop i wonder? No time soon it seems but surely all those pregnancies is taking its toll on her body. I wonder at what stage is it going to become too risky to have anymore kids.
I can almost guarantee she will be pregnant again within 12mths and I predict twins next time. She's due for twins again i reckon! and then that will be it for her body.

But whats with the J thing?? Bit strange. What happens when letters come to the house addressed to J. Duggar??

My general opinion is that those children are very LOVED, more than some children that come from "regular" sized homes.

Alot of people dont agree with their choices but the kids seem happy. Just because they dont fit in with people's idea of a cookie cutter family doesnt make them bad people.

More power to them.....there is no way I could have that many kids.
As long as they can provide for their family, its great. Now if the states pays for all those children, that would be a different story.
Personally, I am pregnant with our 2nd child and that is enough.

in the beginning, i does no longer say disgusting. somewhat severe, sure, yet each baby ever born is a sprint present from God. sure, there are a good number of orphans to undertake. and that i plan to undertake as much as 5 of those (5 by using fact i can not have almost as many as she did!). yet I plan to undertake, by using fact some young ones would desire to be observed and because childbirth scares me. Birthing sixteen or 17 circumstances! expensive God!! they think which you will desire to no longer use beginning administration. i think that infants are a blessing, yet once you're married (stable supporter of banging after marriage) and you in basic terms wanna do it by using fact you prefer to, you will desire to have the capacity to. As I pronounced earlier, expensive God!! i could no longer fathom giving beginning to a million baby, no longer to show 18!! i think of that's a sprint - ok, plenty - severe, notwithstanding that's different from they committed against the regulation. i myself think of you're blowing this entire element way out of share. it somewhat is somewhat their lives.

I find that insane. But my brother in law has 13 children from 16-2 years old and I find that insane as well. At least my brother in law can support his 13 kids.

Good luck to them.I have seen them on T.V,they seem to be a well ordered family with strong values and great discipline. I have only 4 children ranging from 22 down to 5 and that's quite enough thanks! You can't deny them their right to have more children though. They are all well cared for and seem to support themselves so who is anyone to criticize.

It is a shame that instead of having so many children that she didn't just adopt. There are so many unwanted children in the world that need homes. If she was such a wonderful woman she would help the world around her instead of selfishly producing a litter of humans.

Its a free country so she can do what she wants.

However, nature bats last and at some point her reproductive system is going to fail her. The older she gets the more likely she is to have a baby with serious birth defects. Her body will also become more at risk for giving her complications that could kill or maim her.

I think it is also a sign of selfishness that a woman has that many children. The earth is already overpopulated with humans and the environment is sufferering tremendously from overuse and over exploitation of natural resources.

That said: she should knock it off...
