Try substituting it with a version thats lower in calories. For instance, if you love chips, get baked chips instead. If you love cookies, get whole grain cookies or cookies made with Splenda. If there is no substitute, try eating it in smaller portions. Or have it just once a week as a reward for all your hard work. Also make sure all the other food you eat is healthy and low cal. Then you don't have to feel as bad about indulging!

Don't give up on any of the food you eat, this will just cause you to crave it and then binge and then feel depressed, and you'll fall into a spiral. If you are watching your diet, nothing should be off limits, the body can get nutrients out of just about all foods. The key is to limit it. Only have a small amount of the food you really like (and want to give up) once a week. Use it as treat if you've done well over the week or something!

The wider your choices of food, the more likely you can get a balanced weight. Take for example, the dreaded "double cream". Very high in fat and when a person is dieting, is always advised to be cut out completely. You can use double cream in cooking. However, if you have very rich food one day, have salads the next. Every day that you have fattening food, eat healthy foods the next day. It's a simple method. However, if you are already overweight, try eating salads for three days and fattening foods on the fourth. That should see your weight dropping, if not, eat healthy foods for six days a week and fattening foods on the seventh. The fattening foods can then be your weekly treat as the weight comes off. When you have lost enough. Do not go back to your current eating habits. Stick to a healthy food one day, fattening the next or healthy two days followed by one day of fattening. You will find the balance, you just have to stick to it after that.

Do not give up any thing. Change only the style of eating.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.

It depends on what you want to keep with your diet.
I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
I have given up a lot of my favourite foods and kept a lot of them. I have to decide which I cannot give up at all. When I gave up my noodles, I really didn't crave for it. I can remember the nice taste, and would take it say once or twice a year. And I ended giving up most of my simple carbs which works perfectly for me. But chocolates I found I could never give up. So I switched to dark chocolates, which has lesser sugar and more cocoa, and suits my diet and my goals.
Details such as my experience, meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog.

You don't have to give up your favorite foods, just eat smaller portions of them. Also, when you eat a meal, don't use a dinner sized plate. Use a smaller one, like a saucer to eat on. This will also help you with your portion sizes. Eating cereal? Eat only what you can fit into a coffee mug. Eat a little bit all day instead of 3 big meals. And don't eat anything you won't be able to burn off before you go to bed.

There might be a solution if we knew what food you find it hard to give up.
Since we don't know what you can't give up, you will lose weight as long as you exercise enough to burn more calories than you eat in a day. There are tools at diet and fitness stores that can help you calculate your calorie intake versus whatever workout you are doing.

Yes there is, you can do your diet but eat the foods you love in moderation and another really good thing you can do that i do is have two things that you cant dream of giving up because if you allow yourself those two things then you wont crave as much and go off your diet. Good luck:)

Weight Watchers - you don't have to give any food up!
I've been doing it for a while now, lost just over a stone and it feels great. I can still eat KFC, chips, chocolate and drink my bottle of wine at the weekend hee hee!
I strongly recommend the points programme to you. No food is a sin.
