how do i train my dog to brak mean on comand?

i am 13, and i stay at home for sssoooo long and i wantt to makeshure i am safer, so whats a easy and safe way to do this?

Offcourse the dog must have a close bonding with you. if you do, first ,during mealtimes before he eats(make sure he is hungry!!) bring a large piece of bone or steak put it in front of his nose so he can smell it but DO NOT LET HIM EAT OR LICK IT as soon as he reaches for it hide it behind your back,he will bark(if not do it again untill he does).Next, when he starts to bark say BARK(or any command you choose) and give him his treat. if you want to teach him to stop barking at your command, do the exercise above but when he barks stuff the meat or bone in his mouth(so he cant bark anymore) and say your choice of a command.

If you have a close relationship with your dog then he/she will protect you. I mean you don't want an attack dog but a dog that barks enough to scare someone away. I believe dogs will always protect there owners. People are less likely to harm you when they see or hear a dog around.

So by patting, playing and generally loving your dog, you have also trained him to protect you.
