Deleted Question: Does the remake of Planet of the Apes remind anyone of any specific belief system?
Question Details: If so wich one(s)? And what connection(s) do you make?
Ok this got deleted, so I wonder who actually made a connection between themselves and the movie so much that the offence made them report me?
Any ideas?
Or do you guys think this is personal?

I think the biggest reason is fear. They can't answer the question so it's an assault on their sensibilities. Another reason is projection. People see in others what they know themselves to be capable of. If someone is always making snide comments, then they see this in others. Meaning someone may ask a perfectly polite question, but some mean person reads meanness into it. Neither reason is correct. I wish Yahoo would address the issue and stop automatically deleting questions as soon as someone reports it.

It's a sad fact that there are some here who believe they have the right to act as morality monitors, and prevent others from seeing or saying things that they personally find irritating.
I've found that when questioned such people claim to be upholding the rules of Y!A - often pointing to specifics - as they take it upon themselves to act as unelected policemen.
I believe this argument fails in a situation where abuse reports are apparently acted upon without investigation by Yahoo. It becomes nothing more than censorship and the denial of free speech, and is utterly undemocratic.

I suspect I have.
There was no rhyme or reason for the answer I got to be reported. Other people answering that question was essenturally saying the same thing AND I've seen others using the same words on other questions.
The only explanation I can think of was that someone mistook my comment as a personal attack.

Must be some monkeys on here tonight. Or, is it morning yet? It's still dark. I like the dark and I love rainy days. I missed that question. The apes remind me of the church and their militancy. Aha! That's why it got reported. Too close to home.
I think it's an excellent question. Anyone that would report a little bitty cute kitty kitty needs their head examined. And, I'm open for business. Who's first to get their head examined?

What? I answered that question!!! Someone probably took it personnally. The thing is, it wasn't picking on a particular religion so whomever reported it probably viewed their faith as something similar to what you were asking, on a subconscious level. Makes you think, doesn't it?

I asked a question earlier:-
"I feel horny as hell.. What would Jesus do?"
and it got deleted before anybody got the chance to see it.

Ahhh, I wondered what had happened to that question!!
Can't imagine WHY anyone would have wanted it deleted, it's just a question about a story after all!

I doubt it was anyone specific.
I don't think any belief system would like to be compared in such a way.
