then i texted is it a no
he said its a a maybe
then i texted him
Oh nvm I told kate its a no already.
Then he replied
Let's just stay as friends
What is he trying to say?!
(He's really friendly with me at school.Always touches me and hugs me and all that , i always catch him looking at me)

If your friend liked this boy before you, it's kind of a girl's code not to do what you're doing: even if Kate says it's okay that you ask him out, it may still not be okay. Maybe it's best that this guy's being sketchy because it's a sketchy situation in the first place.
You should go for a different guy; someone who's not going to make things with your friend as complicated.

he may still like you but i think he is just a little upset that you had to get permission from your friend and you made him wait. guys are different from girls...some girls(like you and i) don't go out with their friends crushes because we don't want to hurt their feelings. guys don't care. just wait it out a little...he will come around. take care and God Bless. aloha!
