Well, I suppose it depends on how close these two friends are. If the guy was a very close friend of the girl's, most would probably think they were just saying something nice. If the girl didn't know the guy so well, they might think the guy was hitting on them.

P.S. I hate texting, if the dude liked me enough to compliment me as a friend or otherwise he should be able to at least be able to say it out loud. Doesn't have to be to my face but at least call and say I look nice. That way I can tell from his voice if he is sincere about it, or if he is on the sly trying to say that , I'm showing off too much of my assets. lol.

I would be a bit creeped out that he was still thinking of me in that dress (well, I would hope I was still in the dress at least), unless I really liked him and then I would feel flattered

I would be flattered because even my friends notice my appearance and of course I would also be confused because it means that my friend likes me more than a friend.
