Okay, it's like 2 pm in like China right now, but isn't is like winter over there? So if it is, wouldn't winter be in August, and wouldn't a movie or something like premier in the winter?

This may be my blonde coming out, but I am confused!!!

Time zones move from east to west across the globe. China is on the other side of the international date line (which runs from the north pole to the south pole between Alaska and Russia through the middle of the Pacific Ocean) from the United States and is 9 hours behind California time, but a day later (1:00pm in LA on 4 August is 4:00am in Hong Kong on 5 August).
The seasons, however, are dependent on the Northern/Southern Hemispheres. Since China is in the Northern hemisphere with the United States, their summer is the same as our summer.
I can't help you with the movie premier question. Good Luck.
