No, asking over and over again is not a sin, Abraham in the old testament did that to God about a certain city he was planning to destroy, he asked many times, if there was 50 good people would he destroy it and God responded he would not, Abraham then asked using countdown 45 repeating the same question, using a lower number, in some of his question like this, he did do some apologizing.
