This says scientists see an asteroid headed for earth and predict it to hit in 2036....

What do you feel about this? Is this when Jesus will come? If you're a non-believer what do you think will happen?

"Give me those old-time disasters,
Those old-time disasters,
Those old-time disasters,
They're good enough for me.

It was good enough for Allosaurus
It was good enough for Allosaurus
Wiped out long, long before us.
And it's good enough for me."

there's also slated to nearly hit earth in less than 6 years, will it happen? probably not, lots of near impacts happen.

as to the actual question, i'm not worried. everyone dies and if it's at the hands of an asteroid what can i do about it? no reason to worry. **** happens as it were lol. the thiestic bit? even if i believed in christ i'd say no. the rapture does not exactly coincided with the apocalypse. i'm a pagan, i believe that if the world ends, i die. and i go on to a different type of existence in some form of paradise alongside the gods and goddesses

did you read "there is a 1 in 45,000 chance of a direct hit."?

thirty years is plenty of time to do something about it, if it turns out to be a problem. i'm not worried much about that particular asteroid, but it's certainly a good idea to be on the lookout and to have some sort of plan for dealing with that sort of thing.

The odds of it striking are trivial. It will make a close pass in 2029, and at that point, we will know. If there is any risk, we have the technology to deflect it.

It will not Destroy this Planet. Why?
“The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Psalm 37:29.
The Bible assures us that “the earth is standing even to time indefinite.” (Ecclesiastes 1:4) God did not create our planet simply to see it destroyed by irresponsible humans or asteroids as you say. (Isaiah 45:18)

I'm atheist.
And I don't know what will happen. I sure as hell hope it doesn't hit us, since I'll only be 49 years young and loving life.
It's interesting to think about though.

humorous how even the sensationalist article which you purely stated does not actual SAY that NASA has predicted an asteroid headed for substantial apple. It maximum efficient describes what could on the instant be executed, per Charles Bolden, if one have been found out.

Chuck Norris will do what Bruce Willis could not. He will save us by assailing with corndogs made from penguin meat that has been softened and cooked by vile tempresses.

I gotta go to bed.

I will be in my eighties if I live that long.
I probably won't be lucid enough to know or care what hit the planet.
