It says works with Windows Vista. I have Windows Vista- Business and was skeptical as of whether to install it or not. Will it slow down my computer? I had an HP and I had a few peoblems with it freezing up, but when I installed it, it helped in some areas, but slowed down as well(probably due to the fact that I had automatic updates on for it). If I was to install this program on to my new Toshiba Tecra-A8 laptop, would it slow it down?(I'll be sure to turn off automatic updates for the software)

I have read about good and bad results with iolo's System Mechanic 7 (the plain and the 'Professional' versions). As for me, I bought it specifically because it had a little sticker on the box that claimed that it worked on Windows Vista. Unfortunately for me, it wouldn't even install on Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit), even though I tried to update it through its "Web update" feature.

The company, iolo will not refund your money if it doesn't work for you. Although I am very angry at iolo because of their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction (and I consider them to be thieves since I am out $39 + tax for their product which does not install on my Windows-Vista-Home Premium-based computer), I suppose it may work with the 32-bit versions of Windows Vista.

Good luck.
