If you are standing at the back of a church, facing the front, which side does the bride's family usually sit on? And also...when walking down the aisle, is the brides father on her left hand side or her right? Thanks!

traditionally, the groom and his family are on the right side if you're facing the altar from the entrance of the church. the bride is on the left with her family.

the bride's father will want to be on her right arm so that it is easier for him to switch off with the groom when he gives her away.

Bride's side is the left, groom's side is the left. When walking up the aisle, the bride is to the left of her dad.

The bride's family is on the left and the groom's family is on the right. The bride's father should be on her right arm and should walk behind her afetr getting to the altar.

I think the answer is left for both (ie. the side the bride stands on when she says I do.)

Bride - left
Groom - right
Father - right

For Jewish weddings the sides for bride/groom are reversed.

I seen it various ways actually.

I seen it where the bride's family is on the right side with the groom's on the left. With the bride on the right side while her father gives her away ont he left.

I seen it (switched) around.

I also been to one where the family was mixed where they wanted to be seated. (Help give the whole joining, a whole new meaning lol).

Honestly, do it the way you feel. Doesn't have to be the way others have done it.

That is my intake.
