Like a couple of other answers before mine - If you need sauce, then the steak has not been cooked properly. I take & sprinkle both sides of the steak with a little bit of Montreal steak seasoning, then grill over medium/hot coals til steak is med-rare........

The only time I use a sauce is if the meat is way overdone, then I like the Jack Daniel's steak sauces or Paula Deen's steak sauce......Both are pretty good.

It really depends on the way you are cooking the steak...... If youre having a BBQ the best thing is to put some garlic, pepper and grill salt. Grill salt is a special type of salt that they use in Uruguay to make their steaks and its special for BBQs becuase it is a thick salt that melts slowly with the fire of the grill. I like to make my own sauce as follows:

In the blender, mix garlic, BBQ sauce, and a dab of cooking wine and blend well. You should put the steaks in the grill and 10 to 5 minutes before they are done, brush them steaks with this sauce by both sides and let them finish cooking. It turns out to be a pleasant natural taste, that makes the meat feel restaurant style! Another piece of advice is, if you want the meat to be nice and soft, you should blend a little olive oil and a piece of pineapple and marinate the meat before cooking it along with the salt, pepper and garlic. This is a natural softener and has no preservatives! Dont over use the pineapple though because it may make the meat a little too mushy! ENJOY!!

Absolutely none. If your steak "needs" a sauce you're either not seasoning it right, are cooking it too long or using not very good meat.
