Ok, well besides the point that god is supposed to know everything and what will happen in the future, but after he creates man, in the bible it says he regretted making man. Thats another story..my question is why would god really care about us? Why would he want us in heaven with him? Think about it, we are supposed to be like ants to him, he would have no purpose for us. And think of how many people are in the world now, and include going back to the beginning of time, why would he want that many people in heaven. If god is all knowing and all powerful, why would he care about us, why would he want us in heaven with him? It really makes no sense, if there was a god with that much power and wisdom, he wouldn't want inferior useless beings with him, why would he? And please don't quotes the bible, think for yourself on this question.

here is the quote from the bible that says got wished he didn't create us.
Genesis 6:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:6 The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

the reason I said don't quote is because I want to know what you think, an original answer, and too many times people just quote the bible for an answer when that explains nothing.

Asking a question about God and then asking us not to answer from the Bible is a little strange, because the Bible is where we learn about HIM and the answer to your question is found in the Bible.
That scripture that you quoted in Genesis is the time before the flood. The disobedient Angels came to earth and took the form of men. They had sex with the daughters of man and created Nephelim. The wickedness of the Earth was very great and God needed to put an end to it like He will in the future except not by a flood.
Ultimately the answer to your question is that God hates wickedness but Loves those serving Him.
But, if you really want to know whether or not God cares about us, then please visit the following site:

Real quick, for the regret thing, check out how it was written in the original Hebrew as far as we know...
Anywho...
You have an inherant misunderstanding. Don't worry, most people do! We are not like ants to God and we are not inferior beings! We are the Children of God. Who does a child grow up to be like? Our potential is infinite. God said:
"For behold, this is my work and my glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."
His whole existance is geared toward us. He is the perfect Father. He loves us. He wants us to be happy in the most perfect way.
Start thinking of things from that perspective (that we are literally the Children of God) and I hope it will help you understand, at the very least, my point of view. I hope it brings a bit more understanding to your question...

Why do you say don't quote from the Bible? - not quote what God has said - I have thought about it and find I can't improve on this - Ezekiel 33:11; “Say to them, as I live declares the Lord God, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live.'

It does not make sense because we all are rebellious towards him, not worthy of eternity with him.
Look at it as people are God's creation. If you were an artist and made a painting, you would be the creator. You would want to take care of it and make sure no one ruined it. If one day, the paint began to run, you would want to fix it, wouldn't you.
Mankind ran from God and continues to do so today. God fixed this by sending his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
He wants us with him because we are his "paintings."
We are God's creations and that is why he wants everyone who accepts his gift of eternal life to be with him. If we accept his gift, he will restore us to the purpose he created us for, and will want us to live with him.

I don't know who it is that you are referring to. Who said that God wanted all men? Because scripturally speaking, He doesn't want everybody. You knew that, right?
John 6
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
I could show you that God sets people up for the fall. He has the right.
For those He loves, they are the one's who trust Him. You might recognize them, they are those who call themselves Christians who really trust God.
So don't think that we are all God's children, because we are not ALL God's children. Jesus said it to many that were hearing Him: "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!"
So God is not the inferior one. It's us. We are the inferior one's. Always placing our values on Him as if God had to measure up to our standards.
Just consider these things. Perhaps you will see the errors in what you wrote.

yes he regreted making man & he sent the flood to destroy man for their thoughts were on evil constantly..but he vowed to never again destroy man again,& that when we see the rainbow in the heavens , it would remind us of his promise..
well, he created us to dwell with him..we were created in his honor..& yes we are inferior beings now..but when God takes us up, we will have a new body & not this inferior, fragile sinful body we wear now...you said not to quote Bible to you,so go look it up for yourself....lol shug..glad you asked..he cares about everything we do..he died before you were even born & died on the cross for sins you havent even commited yet....now why would he do that ? look it up...love ya , hon.

Because we are His children made in His image. Have you ever seen a loving father who did not want to have His children with Him? We were created to praise the Lord! To love the Lord. And to be with Him forever!
