A soldier convicted of rape and murder in an attack on an Iraqi teenager and her family was sentenced Saturday to 110 years in prison, with the possibility of parole after 10 years.
The sentence was part of a plea agreement attorneys for Pfc. Jesse Spielman had made with prosecutors that set the number of years he could serve in prison, regardless of the jury's recommendation. Pfc stated he did it for the USA and was proud to serve for the USA Government. He wants to know why the war supporters have turned against him.

Because he freaking broke the LAW ya dork!!! Just because you're a soldier/sailor/Marine/coastie---or whatever---does NOT exempt you from both AMERICAN laws or foriegn laws!!!
As a military member you are expected to obey the laws of every country you are in--it's a no-brainer.
He helped/participated in the RAPE of a CHILD, the MURDER of an entire FAMILY, and ARSON to cover up the CRIME......what do you think he would have got for this in the States.....
He deserved what he got-----as did the others.

There is a big difference from serving your country in a time of war and the planned rape and murder of an innocent civilian and members of her family.
The scum got what he deserved, pity it was not a death sentence.
He is a disgrace to the USA and its people.

Let me say first, you are an idiot!
Now thats out of the way, these guys weren't Marines, they were Army.
Since now they have had their trial and been found guilty by a jury of their peers, 110 years is too good for them.
I'm curious why they weren't executed for this crime?!
They gang raped a 14 year old girl, then killed members of her family, these animals weren't soldiers, they are animals and should be treated as such!

I think that any marine would take you to task on your assertion that this was a good marine. Last I heard the marine corps took just as dim a view on rape and murder as any of the other branches do. The marine corps prides itself on builiding good moral soldiers that take pride in their country and service. None of them want to see it discraced by actions like this. His claim he did it for the USA was a excuse, not a reason. The war supporters turned against him because he stopped being a marine and became just another terrorist who happened to be wearing a uniform.
Addendum: I thought there was something wrong with your question. I was reading the newspaper and noted he was army not USMC. My apologies for not catching that earlier marines.

I served in combat and never had the urge to rape a little girl, neither did everyone else I know.
These sort of crimes happen more often in the USA then they do in the combat zone.
This is just another excuse by the leftists to pant the military they already hate in a bad light.

He raped and killed a human being, a child nonetheless, and killed her family. A child who's life has as much value as yours or mine.
Your defense of this cretin alone should be considered treason because you are disgrace to America.
110 years in prison is going on easy this scum. I'm ashamed to even be from the same state as him, yet alone country.

i really hope ur wrong....If Spielman said he raped for USA govt....there's something seriously wrong the his (and urs for asking) views on patriotism. If you're mad at anything, don't be mad for the court for sentencing him to prison...Spielman (from the report i read) takes responsibility for what he did. Blame the govt that put them there in the first place.

Ummm probably because he raped and murdered a girl and her family. it doesnt matter where she is from, its still rape and murder. And to say he did it for the USA is a load of crap. This kid got what he deserved.
