WELL, TO CUT YOUR HAIR YOURSELF IS NEVER A GOOD THING TO DO, BUT IF YOU INSIST. DIVIDE YOUR HAIR IN TO HALVES MAKING A LINE FROM YOUR FOREHEAD DOWN TO THE BACK OF YOUR NECK AND PUT EACH PART IN FRONT OF EACH OF YOUR SHOULDERS THEN COMB IT SO IT HAS NO TANGLES AND HOLD THE TIP OF EACH TAIL WITH A SCRUNCHY LEAVING ONLY THE SPLIT ENDS LOOSE, WET THE ENDS BECAUSE THIS WAY THEY'LL BE EASY TO CUT AND VERY CAREFULLY CUT THEM, IT WILL NOT BE SALON PERFECT BUT AT LEAST YOU'LL GET THE SPLIT ENDS OFF YOUR HAIR AND MIND, AND TRY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO REPEAT THIS AGAIN, IT'S NOT GOOD TO CUT YOUR OWN HAIR.

I must advise you not to even try to cut your own hair. As a hairdresser I have had to re-cut many people's self-cut hair. You can perhaps manage your own bangs, but not the back of your hair when it's longer than shoulder length. A salon cut can give you excellent results, and advise you on professional products to help you prevent split ends in the future.

It's pretty hard trimming your own split end's. You might as well get them trimmed at a salon. Just go on a light room enough to see your whole hair and comb your hair and start looking for them...

just make sure you have super sharp scissors, otherwise you'll just be doing more damage than good.
