Did you even look at the ingredient list?? Here is regular..
Look at the first 5 ingredients.. What the heck looks good about that? Corn.. Chicken by product MEAL, more corn, wheat flour and beef tallow.. This is what makes up the majority of this bag of food. NO THIS IS GARBAGE.. I wouldn't use this in a rat trap!
Ground yellow corn, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal, whole wheat flour, beef tallow preserved with mixed-tocopherols (source of Vitamin E), rice flour, beef, soy flour, sugar, sorbitol, tricalcium phosphate, water, animal digest, salt, phosphoric acid, potassium chloride, dicalcium phosphate, sorbic acid (a preservative), L-Lysine monohydrochloride, dried peas, dried carrots, calcium carbonate, calcium propionate (a preservative), choline chloride, vitamin supplements (E, A, B-12, D-3), added color (Yellow 5, Red 40, Yellow 6, Blue 2), DL-Methionine, zinc sulfate, glyceryl monostearate, ferrous sulfate, niacin, manganese sulfate, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin supplement, biotin, thiamine mononitrate, garlic oil, copper sulfate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), calcium iodate, sodium selenite.
Eukanuba/Iams. All Purina, Kibbles N Bits, Beneful, Pedigree, Ol Roy and Science Diet are nearly the same make up as this garbage food.. FORGET THE CRAP FOODS! Do NOT buy anything that they sell dog food wise, from the grocery store.. IT is ALL garbage no matter what you think or what the dancing puppy on tv tells you !

Don't feed Beneful. It has too many fillers, artificial colors and preservatives.Feed a good, premium puppy food. You can feed dry and canned or just dry. Some brands that I like ( I mix a few different kinds of dry for variety and nutrients) are:
Diamond Naturals
Nature's Recipe
Nutro
Eagle Pak
Chicken Soup For The Dog Lover's Brand
There are super premium and super expensive ones, too,if you can afford them:
Innova
Wellness
Newman's Own
Canidae
Raw Instinct
Solid Gold
Any of these foods are good, and you can combine a few if you like.I find that my dogs don't have any digestive issues, because they are fed different sources of protein and carbs when I mix different brands and flavors.

Beneful has a lot of by-products, dyes, sprayed on fats, harder to digest CORN, has wheat which is a common allergen as is corn for many dogs, and it is very, very low in linoleic acid. A dog needs a minimum of 2 percent linoleic acid in the diet for healthy skin and coat which also helps there to be less shedding. I can't remember if it has BHA and/or BHT as preservatives, but those are toxic preservatives found in many dog foods as is ethoxyquin.
Consider a food like:
Canidae, all life stages, Nature's Recipe, Innova Evo, Newman's Own organics, Wellness, to name some that have not been on all these recalls for contaminated third world additives to their food like wheat gluten, corn gluten, rice protein concentrate etc.

When changing dog food, do it gradually to prevent digestive upset, like 3/4 new and 1/4 old for a few days (add a few teaspoons pumpkin pie filling at each change period), then 1/2 new and 1/2 old, then 3/4 new and 1/4 old the all new. Do this over a period of about a week and a half as tolerated.
If you would consider a raw diet, here is a good site with balanced info. I used it for my grown dogs but for puppy you can start with easier raw meaty bones like chicken backs.
This site has balanced diet info:

There are also sites for balance home cooking for your dog. It's more work but at least with raw diet or home cooking if balanced right, you know the quality and freshness of the product that you are feeding your dog.
You can add a few things to the food too, like some Brewer's yeast with Garlic- powdered and formulated for dogs, a bit of Norwegian Cod Liver oil and sprinkle a bit of acidophilus over the food too or feed a bit of plain yogurt a few times a week.

no that is gross dog food! If you want organic, buy Timberwolf Organics dog food. It is more expensive but that means you do not have to feed as much. I have a 18 pound terrier mix and he only needs 1/2 cup of it a day. It saves money in the long run because your dog does not have to eat as much. Also his poop will be small and hard which makes clean up easier.

Do not mix foods. Each food is designed to be a complete diet, however each food is formulated a little differently and mixing lots of different ones can lead to nutritional problems.
Best to read the ingredients in your puppy food. If it has corn, wheat, soy, or by-products do not feed it to your puppy. These ingredients can be harmful.
Try these brands:
Canidae
Chicken Soup
Wellness
Solid Gold
Innova
Natural balance
natures variety
merrick
California natural
Natural Planet Organics

It should be ok, but don't suddenly change the diet - this could cause an upset tummy for your puppy. I've mixed a few different brands of dog biscuits together for my dog before, and she loved it! I've found some of the best dry dog foods to give to your dog are - Pedigree, Beneful, Science Diet and a few others. To give you a really acurate idea of what foods are good for your dog we would need to know his/her age.
Ask your vet, you can't get more accurate than your vet.
Good Luck!!! :)

Beneful is not a good food..it is actually one of the worst. It is full of cheap fillers & by products.
No store brand food is going to be of good quality.
Look for good brands such as
Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, Canidae, Wellness, innova, Percise, premium Edge, Solid Gold, Fromm, Merrick just ot name a few.

one type of food is good enough, but check the ingredients. if it says "chicken byproducts" it is not good for them. Chicken byproducts consist of feathers, claws, bone, and beak which are all undigestable to dogs. if it is a very young pup you could consider mixing a little powder milk with warm water to soften the kibble, plus puppy loves to mush food
