Head and Shoulders is your best bet... and stop scratching! Also, you might want to consider switching over to a comb instead of using a brush... less damaging.

Whenever I get dandruff which is maybe once in six or
eight months I squeeze out fresh lemon juice, apply it
overnight and next day wash it with herbal shamboo and
within 3 days I usually get rid of my dandruff. If you are a
girl it may take longer because of more hair so do it for
one week and you should be dandruff free. This is a safe
bet then the harsh chemical shampoo. Good luck.

In India, on an average 30 out of 100 males and 50 out of a 100 females are victims of dandruff.
There are few, but definitely existent ways to get rid of dandruff other than shampoos.
One cure is 'vinegar'.
Massage vinegar onto your scalp and leave it for few minutes before washing it off thoroughly. Follow the above procedure and you will see your dandruff start to disappear within a week’s time.

wash your hair with shampoo daily to prevent the spread of bacteria. One of the effective solutions for dealing with dandruff is to use the commercially prepared medicated shampoos meant for removing the dandruff. They are very effective in disinfecting the scalp. But if you suffer from dry scalp, daily shampooing can cause eczema. Shampooing once in 3 days is the best solution.
