Because, i believe that to God, 1 billion years to him probably feels like a second, and evolution was like a millisecond to him.

PS: when who draw a picture, you don't start out with already a head, legs, arms, mouth ,ears, and neck.

(I'm talking about drawing a human.)

Collins examines and subsequently rejects creationism and Intelligent Design. His own belief system is Theistic Evolution (TE) which he prefers to term BioLogos. BioLogos rests on the following premises: (1) The universe came into being out of nothingness, approximately 14 billion years ago, (2) Despite massive improbabilities, the properties of the universe appear to have been precisely tuned for life, (3) While the precise mechanism of the origin of life on earth remains unknown, once life arose, the process of evolution and natural selection permitted the development of biological diversity and complexity over very long periods of time, (4) Once evolution got under way no special supernatural intervention was required, (5) Humans are part of this process, sharing a common ancestor with the great apes, (6) But humans are also unique in ways that defy evolutionary explanation and point to our spiritual nature. This includes the existence of the Moral Law (the knowledge of right and wrong) and the search for God that characterizes all human cultures throughout history.

Maybe you should have read the whole thing about Collins...apparently he is NOT a creationist and he REJECT Intelligent Design. Also...read (5).

Thats what i think besides. yet you will possibly desire to make it sparkling that it is evolution and not abiogenesis with evolution. Many (no longer all) of the evolution advocates who declare it as a information that sensible layout can not be suitable additionally comprise theories of abiogenesis with evolution. they won't comprehend that the two are separate theories and evolution has no longer something to do with the beginning of existence it self yet somewhat the form of existence from its earliest style able to reproduction. Abiogenesis is the theory that organic and organic be counted can happen clearly from inorganic be counted. Evolution is sound. people who brush off usually don't realize it. Evolution does not disprove a writer nonetheless even no be counted if that's one hundred% staggering and shown previous doubt as actuality. Abiogenesis is speculative and whilst that's logical, it hasn't been shown. It hasn't been replicated, observed, it relies upon on assumptions which additionally are unproven. If it have been shown then abiogenesis could effectively disprove the belief of a writer a minimum of the place existence is in touch. in spite of the undeniable fact that it isn't there yet and not going to be every time quickly.

time to us is not somthing at all to God. what we know and understand as humans, time, exsistance, the size of space, is realy not anything. we were created in his image, and have many aspects of his mind, but, we can only understand time, as somthing that comes and goes. to God time is nothing. he was always there befor earth, for how long? that question can not exsist, for God does not live in time. time is somthing for us, not God.

besides all that, the sun shrinks five feet a day. 365 days in a year, 1 billion years??? the sun would be touching the surface of the earth, if not larger. so, evolution in impossible to combine.

Intelligent Design is just Biblical Creationism with the word God replaced by Designer.

What you are talking about is called theistic evolution.

intelligent design is all about bogus skepticism of evolution. collins doesn't seem to agree with the ID agenda i think. he apparently thinks that evolution has problems producing behaviours such as altruism - many evolutionary biologists would disagree with this, but it's a relatively minor point, and he accepts common descent, natural selection and so on.

anyway you could read this article by collins and see for yourself what he believes:

How about a bit of both. God created man to evolve. For example: your mother and father created you in the womb, you were born then grew into an adolesent then into an adult, and as you grew you evolved and became knowledgable (hopefully) with a mind of your own and created a life for yourself and so on and so forth...

Because the people that are promoting ID say it is not, and promote ID as *the other explanation.*

I don't see how a Creator is incongruous with the process of evolution, but that's just me.

Not to be rude, but it is ridiculous to try and tie evolution and intelligent design together. That would raise way more questions than it answers. Evolution stands on its own, without any need for an imaginary god. It is foolish to say that god had anything to do with anything. god does not exist.

Because evolution is science, inteligent design is faith. I don't see why they can't be seperate and both be totally valid. It just puts both of them to shame when you try to combine them.
