Ok after you interview for a job and about 3 days later.. they call 2 of your references to ask about you, does this mean they are most likely going to hire you or are really considering you for employment?

Calling references is a great sign ... one of the last things they do.

Most places won't waste their time calling references unless they're interested in you. You may not get a job offer yet, but you'll probably be called in for at least a second interview.

Well, you can figure out they didn't totally throw you out based on the interview. At least they are interested enough to go a bit further in their examination of you... Good Luck!
