Look, I know all the babble about deplyments and no leave and such. But, my wife is stationed for a year in Korea and some things have been going on that have been causing SERIOUS probalems with our marriage. I'm serious that if we don't get to see each other and talk face to face so we can work some things out, then our marriage will end before this deployment is done. I Love my wife more then anything in the world and i don't want to lose her, so what do I have to do to get them to have her come home so we can work these things out? Any advice will be very appreciated

has she taken her MidTour Leave yet? that leave doesn't count against regular leave, maybe she can take it earlier rather than later.

but frankly, the military doesn't care about your personal problems unless it interferes with her work. you may have to eat the expense and fly out there to see her.

What branch is your wife? It may be easier for you to go their and visit her. There are services for people whose spouses are deployed. Have you heard of the Family Support Center, may have another name for other branches beside the Air Force. That is the one I am familiar with. You can request an emergency loan if that is the problem known as Air Force Aid if needed. They would loan you the money to go to Korea and you pay it back interest free. Other branches have similar programs but I am not sure what they are called.

Are you in the military also? Is that why you can't see each other. She could take leave to come and see you if she has it. Is there a reason she can't?

Hope this helps.

The only thing she can do is request ordinary leave. If her request is disapproved, you could try to get a visa, fly to Korea as a tourist, and arrange to see her.

Sometimes they will grant emergency leave. Depends on the circumstances.

She should get leave during the year she is there - have you checked on that?

Good luck....don't let a deployment come between you...

The easiest thing to do would be for you to go to Korea. There are channels to arrange hardship leaves, but it is easier and quicker for you to go see her.
