Yea, I have seen this question. You mean to say how did everybody die, Noah surely wasn't the only one to have a boat?
Well I don't believe in the story, but if I had to invent an excuse, as the theists are about to do, I would say that the flood was so great that it required a very strong and big boat, and Noah supposedly spent a lifetime building it.

Yes, you are partially right, but the fishermen did not have huge arcs and remember that it rained for 40 days. Fishermen did not have food supplies. Other than that, the plan of God was to punish the bad people and create new world with people originated from good people. Even if the fishermen had boats, it was God's plan for then not to survive, so the boat was not much of a help.

Yeah but not as big? Not big enough to withstand a flood of that magnitude. I'm not really religious, but I always thought the flood was supposed to be like mega tsunami sized? If it's big enough to cover land and destroy all of humanity, I don't think a tiny polynesian fishing boat is going to hold out.

Of course the flood didn't kill everyone on earth. The entire story is based on a local flood that hit southern Mesopotamia around 2500 BC. The original language simply says that the "land" was flooded. And the idea that God caused the flood is based on Hebrew causality. In order to properly understand the text, you can't just assume that God came down and caused a flood. The flood happened first, and it was attributed to God for no other reason than the fact that it happened.

The bible says everyone died except for Noah and his family that is what we have to go with. If there were boats we have to assume they died also. They would have not been prepared and the lack of water and food would have killed them.

Although there may have been boats, I doubt that they would have had enough stock on them for the people aboard to live for 40 days.
