Isn't love at first sight actually lust at first sight? Then you like the lust so much that you stay with the person so you can continue the lust and then it turns into love.

No, I don't believe in love at first sight. Love involves knowing a person well, which is impossible at first glance. The proponents of this ridiculous phrase have a collective IQ of 89, and are often heard saying, "Everything happens for a reason."

I think it is lust at first sight. You cant love someone you do not know, because as you get to know someone, your love grows.

Why not? If you are going to fall in love at sight--then it would be the first sight. But it isn't the end of the story.

No, because love is something that grows with that other person. You really don't know that person well enough to truely love who they are, what they are like, what they are like to live with. Time will tell. If its just you that feels this way, give them time to grow but don't push too hard. Feelings are only a part of love. Think of commitment, trust, honesty, SHARING, openness....these thing are what makes relationships and love last and they don't happen at first site.

Yes and no. I had love at first phone call. LOL My husband and I met over the phone and instantly were attracted to each other. I did not see what he looked like until months after we decided to be serious. We have been married for over a year and I love him more and more each day.

sometimes that's true...sometimes the person just caught your eye...

love takes time, but I think love at first sight means that something brought you to that person and you were drawn to that person from the start...

I really don't. I am actually a strange breed of person that is not attracted to someones looks. Because of that, I don't really date to much because I don't give strangers a chance to get to know me, even if I find them attractive.. I am just not motivated to do so.
