The Middle East would even be a problem area if it was filled with atheists.
Actually, wait. That's not true. As the U.S. declared the Middle East an area involving our "interests," there could be some conflict over money and oil.

ln Iraq, atheists, Christians, and Muslims alike are being bombed back to the stone age. Religion is a commonly used political tool to pit one group against another. Some of the violence in Iraq is between Sunni and Shiite; some is in natural retaliation for the US invading their homeland. Until you walk a mile in another's shoes, you can never understand where their walk has taken them.

properly religiosly justified violence would cut back. universal given different aspects I dont think of it might exchange lots. the aspects using crime are often a function of poverty and shall we face it seeing because of the fact the final public say they have faith in a deity they are additionally those committing an outstanding style of the crime and violence. numerous the main non violent societies at present are secular ones with greater stages of atheism. There are actual worldwide motives to refrain from crimes and violence as properly as undeniable human empathy inspite of the existence of a deity. maximum atheists are rather non violent, regulation abiding electorate. That pronounced there'll constantly be people who below specific situations would devote crime feeling the useful properties outweighed the aptitude negatives interior the 2nd, or no longer battling to think of in any respect.

A whole lot less than it is now. Religion is the primary cause of most of the wars and miseries of the human race throughout history. Those factions who profess these superstitions would keep the ignorant and gullible in a dungeon of darkness and despair chained to the hallucinations of fundamental slavery. The power hungry despots who use these means to subjugate civilization to the creeds of hatred and intolerance should be held responsible for their actions as much as any crime syndicate or drug cartel.

About the same I'd guess. Iraq is under military occupation by a foreign army and some people will fight it any way they can.
Put the shoe on the other foot. I live in the U.S. and I know that if an Iraqi army overthrew our government (such as it is) and occupied our territory lots of people would resist.
This is an oil war. Religion doesn't have much to do with it.

Technially if it was made up of atheists there never would have been a war. Bush would have no excuse to go in for the oil, other then the oil, and we wouldnt accept that.

Uhhh... i bet that the violence has almost nothing to do with religion. Terrorist leaders are probably using religion as a excuse for their violence and as a tool for recruitment. So if they were all atheist... ( but then they wouldn't really be atheist anymore) somone would just make another religion to righten their actions.

It would be a very small fraction of what it is now. If not, none.
Religious wars: merely an argument over who has the best invisible friend.
