If god gave me a ham sandwich, I wouldn't need faith. I would have evidence.

Gosh I'm not an Atheist, but I sure would love to know too. This is something I've been wondering for years. I mean years! I am so glad someone finally asked this question. Thanks so much Maurice! LOL. This question really made me hungry and want a ham sandwich, so I'll be signing off yahoo answers now to go eat that delicious ham sandwich you talked about. I just love ham. I love ham subs, ham sandwiches, you name it. Anything with ham on it...I just love it! Did you know that Maurice? I bet this is as interesting as your questions?

hehehee since most atheists don't see a god, there wouldn't be a ham sandwich, so your question is pretty lame.

Sounds like you should perhaps try talking with an atheist rather than just rant behind their backs. You might actually learn that atheists are normally quite well read in both biblical scripture as well as christian histories...far more than christians---which is probably why there are still christians.

"The best cure for Christianity is READING the bible."--Mark Twain.

I will leave you with 2 Peter 1:5-7 For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.
Faith is but a FIRST step

Did you perhaps mean worship rather than faith?

Faith, a belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence, would be silly if God himself gave me a sandwich, ham or otherwise. His serving me lunch would be proof of his existence, therefore negating any need for faith.

Well...I'm no Atheist, but this question made me laugh. It's just so random n'stuff. I don't like ham though so if God gave me a ham sandwich, I'd say, "No thank you." and give it back.

Is this this a trick question god said not to eat ham

This question presupposes God, ham, and sandwich.

This is a Rhetorical trick, and may I say, a pretty transparent one.

Go back to Rhetoric school, and this time, actually pay attention.

No, but if Mama Cass and Karen Carpenter had shared that fatal ham sandwich, they might both be alive today.

Dude, you may want to work on your logic a little bit because right now, you look like a rhetorical fool.

The key is that whatever you receive, you should be grateful/thankful for it.
