I am like that as well and I know several people who love that time of year. There are so many festivals, fun Halloween stuff to do any buy, the weather is usually perfect and it is a prelude to the fun winter Holiday season. There is something euphoric about looking forward to months of fun coming up.

Agree with you and Mary. My birthday is Sept. 30. I really enjoy the cooler,sometimes windy days, and the smell of burning leaves. Too, I often make soup, and do a bit of baking. Both extreme heat and bitter cold turn me off, maybe because I have lived in more temperate zones.
