BECAUSE, Autumn... they can not understand the idea that you do care about the troops but not support the war ...

They are so BLINDLY patriotic that they can NOT think for themselves, they don't bother learning more about the situation.
they don't bother THINKING and the only way they can even attempt to win in a debate/discussion with you....

They say that to hurt you and stop you in your tracks .. when they can't even consider that perhaps you support the troops ten times more that they do. YOU are not the one sending them to a most highly questionable war... and being killed in a war based on miscontrued information , personal agendas and dare I even type it STRAIGHT OUT LIES....

I support the aussie troops who are serving.. I'm proud of them , BUT i still think this war is wrong

Supporting our troops do not mean to support the war. Our military troops obey orders and because they are military they have to go to whatever place they send them with no questions. They are trained to obey. They have to leave their families and there is a possibility that they can't return home. They are defending our country from others who can harm us and they can give their own life. For that, they are heroes and need support. Now, the reason to be in a war, do not have to be approved by them, but only they know what is in their heart. Only God knows. It is very difficult but it was their choice when they decided to enlist. They knew the responsibilities. If later they decide that military life is not what they want, they can wait until their time expire. There is no black and white when people talk about feelings because they can be mixed, but when is regarding to military orders, they have to obey regardless and for them to do that they deserve our respect.

There is nothing wrong with not supporting the war. There is something wrong with believing you have all the facts as a result of watching CNN and FOX. It's kind of a catch-22 though.

The big problem I have is when people target the soldiers to vent their frustration with how the politicians are handling things. They are the ones holding us back. If the US military were released from our chains and choke collars, we would have neutralized the threat by now, and with far less casualties. I am confident of that.

Something to think on:
The reason we are over there now is because of the politicians not being able to fix the problem. Bureaucracy FAILED. Now, the military is unable to fix the problem because they are constantly held back by politicians not being able to make up their minds about what to do because they have no military experience. It seems to me that we have the wrong people calling the shots. That's just my two-cents though...

I don't agree with the war, I do support the troops, I have several adopted Soliders that I write to in Iraq and they believe in what they are doing. Sure they want to come home, but they say they feel their job is not done, so who am I to disagree with what they feel.

Overall, I want them home, safe and sound!

Sorry to say this , but this is America and I can have it both ways. I hate this war I hate everything about it. I didn't support it from the beginning. I love and honor or troops by donating my time to help the grieving families who have losted love ones and Help other families get the financial support that is coming to them. IE public assistance and food stamps. What I don't understand is if family is willing to risk the lives of a loved one, why do they end up on public assistance and food stamps.

Partly because they are ignorant. But they may believe that the troops support the war. Otherwise they wouldn't sign up. I do not support the war, personally, but I can wait to join the military. Why? Because I want to fly planes in the military. It doesn't make me a ground troop like in the Army, but the Army flies planes also.

Many people are narrowminded about the military. They think the soldiers decide to go to war...we didnt decide to be here...you can support those who make sacrifices for your country but not your countries involvement in certain activities...
Thank you!!

Because those people have no idea what the war is like. And they are too stupid to realize that maybe the troops don't support the war either. People need to think and do some reaserch before opening their big stupid mouths!

This is about how many times , this same question has asked. I would say, if you do not support the war, then you do not support what the troops are doing, so saying you support the troops but not the war, is being a hypocrite.
