I can get away with about 250 a month. I found that going to a warehouse store to buy my bulk items (non perishables, frozen chicken, ground beef, pretty much your staple items) helped me to spend less during the month. I would grocery shop once a week. Before you go shopping make sure you have a list of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners and then base your grocery list from that. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT IS NOT ON THE LIST...unless it was an obvious mistake that you forgot something. Good luck...happy savings!!

Depends on how many people are in your family, and what you eat. But typically i spend about 100 dollars to 150 on myself a month. Not much, but im just a college kid! and still eat pretty well.
