To become a military physician at no cost to you, you can apply for admission to the Uniformed Services Uiversity of the Health Sciences. It's a school which trains future medical doctors for the armed forces. The URL for their web site is listed below. All Navy doctors assigned to Fleet Marine Force units undergo additional training at Field Medical Service School, which is a four-week course. Two weeks are devoted to the teaching of infantry tactics and two weeks in the art of providing medical support in a combat setting. Those schools are located at the Marine Corps Bases at Camp Pendleton, California and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. I'm a 25-year veteran of the Navy Medical Department and went through Field Medical Service School at Camp Lejuene and Camp Pendleton. I did a total of eight years with Fleet Marines, both enlisted and officer.

The Marine Corps doesn't have doctors. The doctors are actually in the Navy. So are the medical corpsman (essentially paramedics, med techs, etc). The corpsmen go through Marine training. The doctors go through Officer Candidate School.
You can complete medical school and then apply for a Navy Commision in the medical corps. You could then request assignment to Marine Corps bases and stations.
If you want the Navy to give you financial assistance to complete medical school, there are programs for that. Best thing to do is to go to the Navy recruiter and let them know what you have in mind. They will explain the available programs and requirements to you. I've heard many advertisements seeking doctors for the military, so odds are they will be quite interested in you.
Good Luck !

First of all, i suggest you don't listen to jasin...he doesn't look like he knows what he's talking about. there's no such thing as a medical corps in the Marines...you have to join the Navy to become a doctor of Marines. become a doctor first...then join the navy as an officer. don't let the Marine recruiter tell you that the marines have doctors, and don't let the navy tell you that you have to become enlisted in order to later become a doctor. so check out the navy website cause you'll most likely find more info on there. hope this helps.

Becoming a Marine Corps doctor requires no steps, because they do not exist. You can be a Navy doctor.

the Marines do not have Medical Personnel. They use Navy Doctors, Nurses and Corpsmen.
In order to be a Naval Doctor or Nurse, you must already have the degree in hand before seeking a commission.

Marines don't have docs. You need to join the Navy (Marines are under the Navy) and then you go FMF (Field med) and then you will be sent to a marine base or out in the sand box.

Military doctors are the worst around, trust me I know, I was nearly killed by one who couldn't count to 15 and was a chief of neurology over ay madigan army medical.
I dont know what I am talking about, yet, its my life that was nearly taken from me by a military doctor. Kind of funny how that works.
If you want to be a doctor and still have any credability then dont join the military.
