The reason why so many illegal alien parents leave their children who were born here and do not take their children with themselves back to their country is because the other country will not accept that child since in the eyes of the other country that child is not a citizen of that country but a citizen of the USA.

I know this from experience. Many years ago in the late 1970's I had neighbors who were from Ecuador. They had come here "legally" doing all ,the proper paperwork at the AmericanEmbassy in Ecuador and came here with their "green card" (permanent resident card)

They brought their two daughters with them to this country. While they were here after a couple of years they had another baby who was born here and is an American citizen. When the boy was 10 years old in the late 1980's his mother decided she wanted to return to Ecuador to live for good and so she took her three children. The two daughters had no problem in returning to Ecuador as they had been born their. But the boy could only stay there for three months. After they were living in Ecuador for three months the Customs authority over there visited the ladys house and said that the boy had overstayed his vacation vissa and would have to leave Ecuador within the next thirty days. Needless to say the mother left with her children and came back to the USA and raised here children here. Now the children are all grown up and are married here and have families. The lady and her husband are now retired and visit often in Ecuador.

But getting back to the point. The boy was never a citizen of Ecuador and therefore was not welcome in that country. So it is with the other peoples home countries. Those countries will take the deported aliens back to their respective country but they will not accept the American born children of the illegal aliens there. So it is not always a case of them wanting to leave the kids here due to immense poverty in the old country but also sometimes it is due to the fact that the authorities in the other country often do not want these children because they can not function in the old countries society because they do not know spanish very well and cannot read or write in sapnish and often times they do not speak it as well because they have been exposed to English here while they go to school and watch televisn etc....

I hope this adds a different perspective to your question.

I gave the example of a family form Ecuador because I knew them but this happens probobly in many other countries of the world as becasue there are many immigrants here in USA not only form Mexico or Latin America but form many coutries of Eurpoe (Russia ukraine Poland Sebia Romanian and also form many Asian and African coutries.

Many times none of those countries will let the children remain there with thier parents since the children are not citizens of the other countires.

There may be some who do this. It is a very difficult decision to make and has to be made by the family involved.

Some of the things that would enter into the process of deciding are:
Can the children be left with relatives in US that the parents trust to care for them?
Will the parents be able to earn enough back home to raise their children properly?
How well do the children speak the language of their parent's home country?
Will the children get a better education in US then they would be able to get in the home country?

Mentioned in another answer is the possibility that the home country will not recognize the child as a citizen. This is extremely rare, though many countries will not award citizenship to the child until the parents register their child with their Embassy. This is the case with US. A child born to a US citizen outside US is NOT a US citizen until the birth is registered with the appropriate Embassy. This is also the case with Philippines. Canada does not require registration of the birth for the children of Canadian born citizens, but the children born outside Canada of a child born outside Canada can automatically lose citizenship on their 28th birthday unless they register. As a general rule each time a child is born, contact your embassy to see if registration is needed. Before leaving US with unregistered children check with your embassy to see if registration is needed.

Ecuador requires registration. They do not have a time limit, though there is a late fee if more than 18yrs have elapsed from date of birth. Ecuador does recognize dual citizenship, so the US born child once registered is a citizen of both countries, but is US citizen only until such time as the birth is registered with Ecuador

There are many, many more factors that enter into the decision as to whether to take the children when the parents leave or leave the children in the care of trusted friends or family in US so that they will have the chance of a better life than what the parents had when they made the choice to become illegal aliens in US.

This is not an easy decision for parents to make. Leaving their children in US will separate the family, possibly forever. Keeping the children with them when they are deported will keep the family together, but with only the resources and education available in the home country.

There are many people who have chosen to leave their children so that they can enjoy the benefits of growing up in US & many others who have chosen to keep the family intact until the children are grown and able to return to US as citizens raised in a foreign land.

They leave them behind in hopes that they will be able to re-enter this country easier after being here illegally.Women who entered the country illegally and have children are subject to deportation but not their children, they are called anchor babies, because they are born on American land they are considered citizens. The story is true saw it on CNN.Any parent who would leave their children in a country not knowing when they'll see them again doesn't deserve the right to be a parent.I say take your kids with you.

ANY child BORN in the USA even to an ILLEGAL is automatically a USA CITIZEN ---that's in the law.... so, the babies born to illegals after they make their way into this country have a legal right to STAY here---and the parents who believe their children would have a better life in the country of their BIRTH--(USA) leave them here rather then take them back when the parents are deported....and anyone who says that these children are NOT citizens would be going against the US CONSTITUTION and FEDERAL LAWS because it's a fact---born here---you're a citizen here.

Probably because their kids were born in this country. They're known as "anchor babies."

They also probably figure that they have a better chance in the U.S. with relatives than in Mexico and other places.

So how are these kids going to get to know their parents if they live in one country and Mom and Dad live in another country?

a lot of these illegal people come from below poverty situations, they live in ways that we cant even imagine, who wouldn't leave their children here where they will have a much better life and so many more opportunities, here they will have food, shelter, education, and medical care, even if they don't have their parents,

They are thoughtless and want to rape the US system as best they can (they possibly think the child will petition to have them come over later).

Shutup, a_strange_berry - stop playing those little word games liberals like to play to excuse illegal crime.
