Water temp is difinitely higher in Hawaii. Very pleasant vs. the generally chilly California water temp. Aren't taxes a pain in the rear. No more for me. I moved to Vietnam======
But here is the straight stuff on the tax in Hawaii.
Hawaii does not have a sales tax; instead, we have the general excise tax which is assessed on all business activities, including retail sales, commissions, rental income, and services at 4%. Other activities, such as wholesale sales, are taxed at 1/2 of 1% or 0.005 %.

Oahu is overcrowded, yet not all places in Hawaii. As for water, i'm getting all my water from rain and that i continually have lots unfastened water. My 3 mattress room 2 tub domicile value me $ninety,000 and that i stay on the great Island of Hawaii, not on the crowded Oahu the place maximum individuals stay.

In my experience the ocean temperature around the Hawaiin Islands is several degrees warmer than that around the southern most regions of California (for example south of Malibu).
If you are asking about sales tax, yes there is a sales tax in Hawaii. I believe it is in the vicinity of 4 %, although there is a heavy state burden supplied by the hotel occupancy excise taxes.
