i asked this guy for a ride home from one of my classes and he said ok. as we were driving a made a comment jokingly saying the reason your giving me a ride home is because you like me. he laughed laughed but later i noticed the mood in the car changed and he was upset. the next day he was ignoring me. he used to have feelings for me and i still like him but nothing happened. when i see him again i want to apologize for what i said and let him know that i know he was just being nice and nothing more. i just want to make things right. i dont like him anymore

Hmm, sounds a little awkward. I would try straight up tell him it was just a joke and you meant nothing by it. Once he knows the real truth you will feel much better. It may be weird for a bit afterward, but better in the long run. Who knows, maybe he is stressed or mad about something totally different and you just assume it was your little comment. I tend to think WAY too much and over analyze things like that, check to see if you are. Hopefully you get it figured out! One last thing, do you really not like him anymore? You said in the middle you did but at the end you don't... hmm... ;) Just tell with him hun and you will feel better! Good luck!

whether you like him anymore or not, maybe he had things on his mind, maybe he likes you but wasnt ready...cuz i think you like him, but in any event just say to him..."thanks for the ride the other nite, if I said anything out of the way I wasnt trying to be a bunghole, just trying to make the car ride fun, no harm no foul." and go about life as normal. See how he acts toward you in the future and dont worry about it, take care!

How come you don't like him anymore? I would try to make things right between you two if you see him a lot but maybe if you don't see him a lot just let it be.

i worked with a lady that I really liked and made a big mistake and never told her
she left the job site, now I will never know.
even rejection is better than the not knowing.
I have a big regret over my indecision.

hello,, let it go, did you learn what not to do? next time call a cab. you sound like a double standard ,,I still like him--I dont like him anymore. a bit confuse with your feelings or the spoken word? your actions just got you nowhere.
