The way some people express about illegal immigrants is very demeaning. I think that to express an opinion people don't need to be mean. That only will show that the person does not have a strong point to defend.

No, I am not illegal, but my ancestors were immigrants from europe like many other americans. The point is, why some people have to be mean when they express their opinion about people from other nationality, ex. mexicans. That does not teach our children anything good, Trying to protect our borders demeaning another country is not going to bring justice to our people. Some people need to learn to be more diplomatic because it is important to have good relations with other countries.

A recent University of Chicago study indicates that "rugged American individualism" often hinders Americans ability to understand other peoples point of view. Americans could understand that the planet is not their oyster. We live in a global society where ALL other people have the same right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" that Americans do.
If American government spent more time and money on good will and helping eliminate poverty in our own country and other countries rather than just taking from the resources that other countries have and we want and generally take by force if necessary, immigration would not be an issue, neither would war. Hatred and prejudice would be a thing of the past.

there is not something hateful approximately eager to guard sovereign borders. do you comprehend how Mexico treats people who sneak throughout the time of their border from the poorer countries to the south of them? seem it up. i could make it easier to comprehend, yet you will not have confidence me. very few human beings have any problem with criminal immigration. the priority is that too a lot of human beings enter the country illegally and then make the main of our very, very beneficiant hand-out classes. The extra human beings in the wagon, the less human beings there are to push the wagon. .

if only this were a perfect world!!! This issue is like any other. If someone is a bigot than their defense or opposition of the issue will be bigoted in nature. The best we can do is teach our children to be informed, well read, and to form their own opinions.

Of course it's not about hating people from other countries. It's more about the government's "selective law enforcement" as I like to call it. The police won't think twice about slapping a fine on you for jay-walking, but if you break federal law and enter our country, they'll turn a blind eye. It's an very slippery slope.

I really haven't seen that. I live in Arizona and the only thing we hate are illegals coming here and expecting to take over. I really don't care which country they come from. If you want to live here you have to love the US, is that to much to ask? They come here and want us to be like them. I haven't seen any other nationality do that except the Mexicans. You don't see illegals from other countries trying to change everything do you. Like my forefathers where from Ireland and I don't speak Irish. We don't sing the Irish National Anthem either.

No one has yet suggested we halt immigration. Rather, they want to put an end to illegal immigration.

The immigration issue is a classic example of the divide and conquer techniques of the ruling elite. They keep different factions of the working class fighting each other while the wealthy elite make off with all the riches.
