What's the deal with pink??
But you want only the dress to be pink and mix it with others colors or you want pink as your primary wedding color. I think pink is a great color for weddings, actually I am using it as a main color for my wedding in January. Pink is very popular these days and I don't think that the season really matters. There are some TV wedding shows that presents a lot of weddings where pink is the theme. And those weddings are gorgeous. Take a look to VH1 My big fat wedding and to Platinum weddings. You can get very good ideas watching this shows.

For my wedding at first I thought using chocolate, hot pink and light pink but know I am using hot pink, light pink and white. My fiance likes it, of course it's a little bit too legally blond or barbie, but it looks nice. Mi friends likes it too.

I also saw pink, green and white as the color scheme and look nice. You should see a wedding decorator and ask him for ideas. They can make a sketch for you and then you can decide. If you like it and is in your budget you work with him if is not in the budget at least you get the ideas and can go with the do it yourself.

Is this pink dress for you or your bridesmaids? If it's for you, then I would put your maids in richer color that will accentuate your gown - wine, scarlet, deep purple, sapphire blue, emerald green, etc. with pink sashes. You could then use pink for your flowers and decorations.

If you are thinking pink for the maids - well, not so sure I would do it for a fall wedding - or for that matter any time of year. Pink as a wedding color (at least the primary) is a lot harder to work with than you think. There are soooo many shades of pink and as other posters here have mentioned, many men would rather wear a lampshade on their head than deal with so much pink!

I know as the bride it is so easy to get caught up in what YOU want, but do remember that there are other people involved too - namely your groom.

To blend pink into fall colors go with either a brown (trendy this year) or a darker red. If you choose red you will have a easy time with findind flowers and also if you have pictures taken outside (and assuming you live in a 4 season state), the colors of the leaves changing will look great. So will the browns though. I agree with one of the comments above though, just make sure that your future hubby is ok with wearing pink if he has to some guys are not into that.

I love the idea of a wedding dress in colors other than white.
There are lots of good ideas already posted for complementary colors.I'd stay away from Orange at any cost.
Orange and pink will make people think they are in a Dunkin' Donuts or Denny's.

As for as the people who suggested that your HTB may feel uncomfortable with pink, I disagree. Any man who is comfortable with their sexuality will know that pink is a lovely color and does not reflect on their sex lives.

Good luck and congrats !

You could go with the most traditional Autumn colors of browns, oranges, and yellows. Imagine chocolate brown satin dresses with an orange sash at the waist, tied at the back, and then flowing down to the floor for your bridesmaids. They could carry yellow flowers. Your bouquet could be white, pink, yellow or some combination of those colors. While the combination of Autumn colors with pink may not seem traditional, I think the Autumn colors might really make your pink "pop". Just a thought.

I had pink bridesmaids dresses but what I did is alternate the shade of pink. I had 4 bridesmaids and 2 of them wore light pink and 2 of them wore dark pink. It looked really cute and the guests commented on how it was a great idea to do that.

I don't think pink has as much to with the fact that it's fall as much as you should worry about if HTB is willing to have a pink reception. Most guys I work with are against the pink and are pretty miserable.

Pink can be a fall color, just pair it with a dark red and a brown and just have touches of the pink be your accent. It will be more fall and I think HTB will be happier with pink as a helping hand rather than the star.

Ladies, brown dresses with red flowers red flowers with touches of pink. Pink jewelry. You white flowers with touches of red and brown ribbon.
Gentlemen brown suits, white undershirts and red ties/vests/bowties/whatever.

(Think about how gorgeous chocolate covered strawberries are)

The biggest colors this year are brown and pink or brown and turquoise blue. They are every where. I think it would be really pretty for a fall wedding and you can pick up accessories almost everywhere to coordinate.
