Okay, I am so mad, why has my dad all the sudden started acting like I'm 6 and can't do anything myself? It is so annoying, here's an example, "Can you buckle Wyatt into his car seat by yourself? Or do I need to help you?"

Do you have more info? How old are you? Is Wyatt your brother or your son? Are you still living at home?

You won't know until you ask. You need to calm down and ask if there is something you've done to get him so upset.

It could be he's stressed out because of something else or perhaps he thinks you depend upon him too much.

As you grow up, you need to realize honest communication is the key to great relationships.

Dads will always treat their daughters like their still babies, shows they love them heaps. but you might remind him that your not a little girl and you are capable of doing things yourself. good luck

Maybe he is trying to be helpful. Prove yourself to be capable and mature by your actions and you will earn respect. Just reply nicely...no thank you, I can do it.

maybe he is expecting more from you as you are older than your brother, if you don't want to be treated as a child , don't act like one
