If you want a second chance, that's a great thing!
But, yes, the Bible does speak of God hardening hearts and turning people over to their lusts after people repeatedly turn away from God and ignoring the work of the Holy Spirit.
"Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves" (Romans 1:24).
"Today, if you hear his voice,do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion" (Hebrews 3:15).
"I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go" (Exodus 4:21).
If people continually turn from God, he may harden their hearts.
"No one who abides in him keeps on sinning [as a style of life]; ; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him" (1 John 3:6).

God never gives out second-chances as last chances. All chances are first chances, in a sense, because God will keep giving them. God is not a he, either. God does not give up; why would God have given us minds to make mistakes if we could run out of second chances?

When we stray and feel that God has given up on us, we need to understand God's love and devotion toward us. As a Christian we all go through periods in our lives where we do things that go against God's commands. Some seem even to the point that we're just sure God has turned his back on us. God does not give up on us until we give up on him. We are separated from God because of our sins, and our greatest need is to be forgiven and cleansed of them which is why Jesus Christ came into the world. All of our sins were placed on him and he died for you, me ....all of us. God offers us salvation as a free gift...a gift already paid for by the blood of Christ - our sins can be forgiven and no God does not give up on us - he hears your prayers, sees inside your heart and soul.

yes and no; God does give up on people, but as long as someone is still trying, there is hope that God may still be calling them; God abundantly pardons and the action of looking for another chance shows remorse and repentance; it appears that God gives up on those who are no longer looking for second chances:
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: - Romans 1:24.

The apostle Paul may have had in mind the decadent behavior of people in the first century when he wrote: “God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.” (Romans 1:26, 27)

At that point, those people have given up on God, no?
He gave the Israelites (in the Bible) many, many chances. But he finally had to draw the line.

God never gives up. He always answers prayers and maybe He has given you an answer. God forgives your sins if you ask Him to, God will provide if you trust in Him, and He loves you SO much that He sent down His son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for you. God never gives up, will you give up on Him?

God isn't the God of a second chance, He is the God of another chance. The only people that God gives up on are described in this passage.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
