First of all NOTHING you do will compel a liar to stop lying. People lie for all kinds of reasons, some do it for fun, some to avoid conflict or confrontation and others because they can't help it.

Simply tell this person that you can no longer trust what he or she says because you found out it was lies and that from now on you will not consider them honest nor believe what they say until you verify it for yourself.

After you say this he or she will probably apologize and either avoid you or avoid lying to you but they will not stop lying to everyone. There is no magic word to make people tell the truth.

People who lie at the drop of a hat will not stop. They see lying as getting what they want, so why should they stop? If you feel like a lie could hurt someone, then you can try to call them on it, but for the most part the best thing is to ignore them and take everything they say at face value.

The only way to stop being lied to is by getting rid of the liar that's you're mentioning here. There's no other way.

Liars learn to "lie by reflex" from childhood. If they were around angry parents or guardians, the child may have been afraid that he or she will be punished for the truth, not for lying.

Make sure she doesn't get elected President. It won't stop her but we won't have to put up with her lies.

Thats usually in their DNA...so you can't stop it. Avoid them. You will waste your life confronting them and end up chasing your tail.
