I used to not eat carbs after 6 PM and it didn't really seem to make a difference, I just went to sleep hungry. Now all I do is make sure I run really hard for at least 20 minutes a day and I can eat a burger or whatever I want right before bed and now the weight keeps falling off. My metabolism burns through whatever I eat during my sleep from my intense workouts.

There is a great misconception that if you eat at night your body will store the calories as fat because it does not have time to burn it off, but this is not true!! Your body does not know what time of day it is..it burns the same calories, depending on how active you are, etc. every day..So if you don't eat very much during the day and then have a late dinner there is nothing wrong with it..just make sure you overall calories are okay..

It depends on what time you go to sleep. If you sleep at 9 pm, then I can see why. But say you are like me and go to sleep on average around 2 am, then I shouldnt stop at 7. Maybe good to stop 2 or so hours before sleeping. The reason is your body retains that stuff over night, preventing you from getting rid of it and letting more bad stuff set in. However, if you have a little healthy snack in that period it wont hurt.

People with weight problems have tendency to snack at night up until they go to bed. Think about this; most people eat when they are not hungry. If we only ate when we were hungry there would be little obesity, eating for most of us is habit, just like smoking.

It is better to eat earlier but it is still ok to eat around seven. You don't want to eat dinner after 8 or 9 because when you go to bed your meal isn't digested enough. Most bodily funtions (including digestion) slows down during sleep so eating right before you go to bed isn't the best thing to do.
Hope I helped. :)

It doesn't matter when you eat food, calories are calories but you are less active after 7 pm and most people consume higher fat and higher calories in the evening while your watching TV or playing on the computer.

YES!
That's just a myth.
It could actually cause you to gain weight as you're effectively starving yourself, slowing down your metabolism and as soon as you do eat - it'll hold on to it more.
Plus you won't sleep as well if you're hungry.
The best way to lose weight, believe it or not, is to eat little and often. As it speeds up your metabolism.

You can eat anytime you want. If you eat later in the day however, most people are less active, therefore what you eat does not get burned off and ends up being stored by your body (fat)

I have to eat shortly before I go to sleep. In fact, I'm about to get something right now. Just try and keep it small, like toast or something simple like that.
