Hello. I am someone who grew up in a pretty rough area in the D.C. Area. There are so many gangs and gang members. Now most of these people say they believe in god and are catholics and cristians. The thing is, these are the same people murdering, stealing, and pulling drive-bys at funerals! I dont know if anyone feels the same but its like they just say they have religion just to say it. If you really were cristian or catholic, you would ambush a funeral! You wouldnt kill someone for wearing the wrong colors while at the same time you wear a rosary! These people dont have real religion! They worship thier gangs! They call themselves cristians and catholics but they kill or street name. They kill over colors! THEY AMBUSH FUNERALS!!! Has anyone else ever felt the same?

You are unique and lovable. Just look at all these people surrounding you with positive vibes and love. I got injured four years ago, and can't walk much, I don't work, mostly am house bound, wife doesn't talk much to me any more, and the kids don't visit. I earn about 30% of what I used to, and I am in pain most days. Its depressing but I'm not depressed. I decided to make the best of what Ive got. I read a lot, go on the computer and speak to a lot of friends I have made, took University courses, study everything from photography to the Bible. You have been given a very special gift....a life. Don't waste it, or destroy it, build one step at a time. change it if you don't like it. God loves you and we love you. Depression is a terrible thing, don't let it swallow you. Decide to live, and get better, and have a better life. Start laughing for no reason at all, go outside and look around and try to count as many beautiful things you see. Start with one....yourself. Find things to do you love and get a passion for something. Join a church, or a club. take up a hobby, no on second thought take up four or five. Stay busy and smile, because this is the only life you will get so make the best of it. Pray to God, what do you have to lose. He understands and will help. God bless you richly my dear. Stay healthy and happy. I will pray much for you.

ok i 100% do not care in beleivin in ANYTHING... why waste my life woshiping someone/thing who might not evn b real!!! And dude FINALY someone who feels the same way.... all my friend are cristians and stuff, and they're like "oh the gang members that are cristian mean well, its just the way they were born and raised... they wanna be cristan but there daddy left and there moms an alcholic"
And i'm like "HELLO u dont say u beleive in that stuff with the lovin earth and bunnys and crap then go out and murder somebody, that's stupid! No matter how you were raised!!!!!!!"

The people of Jesus dont do that,
these are just wanna be's.
I just left D.C. and I hated the city and it's way of not getting anything done. Parking control 24 hours a day to write tickets? police officers sleeping in the cars, officers who would not arrest people because they were the same race
i'm glad i'm not there. I am of the opinion that criminals should be shot on site........I don't want to feed them with my tax dollars, I'd rather congress steal that along with the rest they are getting

Maybe they feel by saying it, God will watch over them. I have never killed anyone in my life. But maybe that is all they know. In my youth my experience was that gangs bread gangs. It was a way of life not just something to do. This kind of stuff have been going on for decades. Just some neighborhoods get them out and some don't. I grew up in a gang infested neighborhood, but they protected me. When I was young, knives were the scariest thing to carry and drive-by shootings didn't exist. Yes, some did get killed and some carried guns. But it really was to hang out when you didn't like your home life. Some grew out of it and some didn't. IF you want to change yourself, then do it. Move away and make your life good. But criticizing them won't change them. They have to want to change. Take care.

Take a look at history. Being "christian" didn't stop the slaughter of non-christians. People like what you have described feel it's important to be a member of a club, for good or for evil it doesn't matter, they don't have the capability to think or act on their own.

I've felt sort of the same but not everyones like that. u gotta keep in mind that ppl who murder others are mentally challenged and im sure everyone knows that. I thik someone should just talk or something to tell these people to stop killin and doing bad things.

Many people do not seem to understand that to believe Jesus lived, is not being a Christian (I'm lumping Catholic's in here too because we are Christians). A Christian is one who tries to follow Jesus' teachings, to emulate his actions and to treat our fellow man with patience, tolerance and compassion, and of course to give glory to God.
None of us are perfect, but with all my imperfections I could never do the things you have described and still call myself a Christian.
It's not what comes out of a persons mouth but their actions and what comes out of their hearts that determines true Christianity to Me. Just my opinion.

its because many born agains and catholics belive you can raise hell and rape and steal and murder, but if before you die you say jesus is lord, then you wont go to hell. This belief is false. It is false, false false. It os worth than false. Such apostate thinking was concieved by the devil. True chrtians try to be christlike in deed, thought, and faith.

I think if you really really think about it religion has little to do with a person's morals. Atheists commit crimes and religious people commit crimes. Morals come from modern conventions and inborn instincts/emotions like empathy, not thousands of years old books about stoning women who turn out to not be virgins on their wedding night.
But I do hope religion is dying out for other reasons.
Remember, left on their own, good people will be good, bad people will be bad but to get a good person to be bad, that takes religion. (not my original quote)

They are just using their religion. It's probably something they were raised with and don't understand. They would probably kill over it, just for another excuse. They are worthless killers. I say that NO religion is better than that.
