Writersblock73, Uncle Wayne. I believe he was the same person all along. I don't think there was ever a clone.

He was a very intelligent chap. I e-mailed him once and found him to be very modest. To my knowledge, he was the first person to mention or refer to "in-breeding" on R/S.
edit: from "writersblock"s comment, he either had an extremely ironic sense of humor, or there were two Colsons.
Now I guess I should do my homework and read the link you provided to see if that was the Colson I knew. -- chagrin
Dear Eagle Woman - actually, when he apologized about using the term - he said he was sorry but it "just kinda slipped out" if you know what I mean" -- lol
edit: I didn't catch the ironic humor of his apology until the next day. - chagrin
edit: I have done my homework and read his questions and most of his answers. My conclusion: I am not smart enough to know where he was coming from or where he was going. But my guess is that a lot of the time he was "putting us on" and being secretly ironically humorous. - go figure

I gave up on Colson. When I first started seeing his questions, I could simply not believe anyone could be so ignorant--I mean, I'll bet even hard-core fundies were reading his posts and thinking, "This guy is seriously messed up!" I made it a point to search down his Q&As just to stomp on them.
Then he changed. Radically. I figured that someone had cloned him. It happens quite a bit around here, so why not?
Now he's just... gone. To tell you the truth, I doubt I'd have ever thought about him again if you hadn't brought this up.

This person had me going for the longest time. I really thought Colson was a legit crazy, hateful fundie.

I think he is Acid Zebra. I have never asked AZ and AZ has not been here for awhile either.
At first I thought he was our Bad Squirrel because of the wit. Squirrel says no and I believe him.
I have no doubt, colson is one of us.

It's not Squishy, Bad Squirrel, or Acid Zebra. All of them have had or do have puppet accounts...but I can recognize their typing styles.
Colson is someone else.

Sorry, Uncle, but originating from Alabama, I am a little sensitive to that word. I guess I am not too far inbred, because I don't remember him. Though he might be a distant cousin, I have never dated him. [ I don't think.]

I've wondered the same thing. And I agree with James; at first I thought he was irritating, then I thought he was amusing, and then, with his sex-change, a riot! I've heard no confession about who he was. I guess it's up to Oprah on crack to fill the void!
