If you have money, its easy... But its a very expensive city to live in

They say it's the hardest place in the world to find an apartment, but its still do-able. If you have money, or nice parents with money, it can be fairly easy. If not, you may want to find a roomate online, or through a friend. I have always prefered to live in Brooklyn, and could not stand to ever live in the city! I love it here in NYC, but it is far from easy to move, or live here. But please, dont let me deter you- Most people here are from somewhere else, and not everyone has tons of money. Its such an amazing place to be, full of amazing people and opportunities.
My advice- Get lots of advice about what areas to move to. and dont ever rent an apartment without seeing it in person first.
Be willing to spend lots of money on rent.
Aim for a top floor apartment, or have someone walk around in the apt. above the apt. you view, to see if the noise is bearable.
Be realistic, You dont get much space for your buck here.

It's all about $$$ in NYC. If you have the money it's as easy as crossing a street with the WALK light in your favor.
